About Me
Who and What is The Fairness Doctrine? A new concept in the opinion-driven world of talk radio, The Fairness Doctrine with Chuck Morse and Patrick O'Heffernan is left-Right Radio for the Radical Center. It brings together two dynamic hosts from different sides of the country and the political spectrum who have very different points of view but an unswerving dedication to respect for facts and the opinions of others. Patrick and Chuck may not always agree, but they are always fair, always informative and always entertaining.
Supporting Patrick and Chuck is one of the best editorial teams in Radio. KT McFarland, former White House security advisor and Assistant Secretary of Defense; Geoffrey Lean, three-time British Pulitzer Prize winning environmental columnist for the London Daily Telegraph; Gina Cooper, founder of NetrootsNation and national political consultant on technology and politics; Dave Johnson, Huffington Post contributor and founder of the progressive blog Seeing the Forest; Jackie Salit, President of the Committee for a United Independent Party; and Dr. Zhudi Jasser, President of the American Islamic Forum for Democracy.
For two hours Monday through Friday, the Fairness Doctrine examines news, religion and culture through a lens that takes in divergent opinions – sometimes with passion, but always with respect. It is talk radio for people who think differently and for leaders who are changing our nation in different ways. Everyday Patrick and Chuck interview political leaders, authors, experts and artists in Newsmaker Interviews that can be passionate or funny or both.
Dr. Patrick O'Heffernan has a long history of liberal activism, world travel and education. A PhD graduate of MIT and a former Professor of Politics and Communication at Georgia Tech, he has won an Emmy, 4 Addy's and been nominated for a Radio Peabody Award. He has hosted Uplinks on All Things Considered Saturday on NPR and produced television for CNN
